Founder & Head Trainer
Gabby Reed
I’ve been working with dogs since October 2019, starting as a volunteer and officially becoming a certified trainer in June 2021. As a balanced trainer, I utilize both reward-based techniques and aversive tools, otherwise known as "Balanced Training". This approach acknowledges that positive reinforcement alone may not solve every behavioral issue, and aversive tools aren’t suitable for every dog. In my experience training dogs of various ages and conditions, I’ve developed proven criteria for success. When not actively training, I stay sharp by educating myself on topics that enhance my methods. This practical and informed approach aims to satisfy a broad range of dog owners while prioritizing the comfort of the dogs in training. My goal is to allow you to fall in love with the process of becoming more than your dog’s owner, but their trainer too, as well as to see your dog as for what is in front of you and not for who you wish they were. Balanced training will allow your dog and you to be more fulfilled in a training companionship because we will positively reinforce what we desire your dog to practice, but correct behaviors we want to prevent.

Wish
Hi! My name is Wish! Gabby rescued me from WCRAS, (Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter) in August 2023. No one really knows what the first year of my life looked like, but the shelter rescued me from being homeless back in 2022. It didn’t take long for Gabby to adopt me after she only intended on fostering me. I now train daily to assist the company with evaluation of potential criteria. I like to protect my parents from strangers, so we work through reactivity as a team, following balanced training routines daily. A game of tug is my favorite, so is snuggling, chasing prey, and off leash adventures in less populated areas. My favorite treats are … Anything edible. My favorite toys are ones I can shred in 5 seconds. Most importantly, I love playdates with my high-energy friends. My latest adventure has been starting Personal Protection Training for my mama, which I am a natural at!
